The genesis of the Salty Little Sliders brand is a children’s book, drawn by Dave Gardner. As this brand grew into a larger merchandise brand, we needed to build an identity that would translate to new applications. While creating the new mark, we wanted to embrace the character and liveliness of Dave’s work, while still being adaptable for new artists and stories told in the future Salty brand. This was achievable through defining a core ethos and strategy for the brand and visual language, tightly curating artists to collaborate with, an “illustrated” word mark, and rigorous use of an earthy, natural color system.
